BeewolfBeewolfBeewolf with honey bee. Sometimes a trip turns up something unexpected. RSPB Minsmere was one such trip. An introduction to burrowing bees. Beewolfs , wasps which feed on honeybees, building one meter tunnels, with numerous chambers, to which they bring a stunned honey or worker bee, on which they lay their eggs. As this isn't bad enough there is then a myriad of other bees, wasps and insects which hijack the nest, also laying their eggs on the stunned bee.
